At Adirondack Minnows Swim School, we are dedicated to teaching the fundamentals of swimming and water safety in a fun and supportive environment. Our founder, Claudia Librett-Needham, has been teaching lessons since she was a junior in high school and is passionate about helping the community.
She strives to keep our prices reasonable and affordable for the community. While also meeting each student where they are and helping them grow their ability. With our experienced instructors and fun, engaging lessons, we are confident that you and your family will have a great experience with us.

My name is Claudia Librett-Needham
Hi, I am Claudia! Many of you already know me. I am a second grade teacher locally here in the Adirondacks. I am also a certified swim instructor. In the summer, my mission is to keep kids and adults safe. There are 7,400 public swimming pools and 1,300 public bathing beaches operated in New York State. "Drowning kills about 4,000 people each year in the United States. Drowning is the leading cause of death for children 1 to 4 years old (CDC.gov)". I am also a certified lifeguard, certified in first aid and CPR. I would love to help make a difference in your child's life!
